If you want to be part of the beta program for the new JRun 4 Updater (updater 7), we are recruiting ColdFusion customers. Go to this link https://prerelease.adobe.com/callout/default.html?callid=%7b046DAD6A-D2F3-47E5-A745-E1C9F38570DA%7d to sign up.
This updater will roll up all the hotfixes released since U6 as well as synchronizing with any and all changes we made in JRun for the ColdFusion 8 release. This is mostly updates to wsconfig to support new platforms (i.e. 64-bit Solaris) and new OS releases.
Enjoy.

Hi Tom,
should CF8 customers sign for it or those updates are already in CF8?
João Fernandes
Everything in JRun updater 7 is in ColdFusion 8.
Hey Tom, so is this really meant only for those running JRun itself (or perhaps the multiinstance edition of CF 6.1 or 7)? In other words, should those running only the standalone editions of CF 6/7 not bother applying?
Separately, would this updater update the JVM on which JRun would run? Or is that independent of this updater (up to the user to do themselves)? Would a JRun user with the updater be supported in running 1.6? And how about CF developers deploying CF 6/7 on JRun? Or is that still not be possible because the CF engine would need to change to support 1.6, and that's only done in CF8?
Sorry to have to ask such quesitons here, but there's no info at the links I've seen (though I didn't login). That may be worth clarifying, if people can find more info somewhere.
I'm sure some will ask or at least wonder these things, so we may as well get the clarification (pro or con) out there as soon as possible before misconceptions are spread or assumed. :-) Thanks.
This updater is for people who are running JRun independently of CF. Anyone who has installed CF8 in any form already has these changes.
