Facelift for my blog page

Evey once in a while I click through the blogger provided dashboard to see what new things I can do with my blog. Today I managed to improve the fonts and colors, add a picture of myself, and add category information to most of the posts that deserve it. I even added a list of subjects on the left navigation pane of the page so you (and I) can find posts about specific things (like those web service related posts I am always looking for the link to).

If you are reading through an aggregator, come to my page (http://tjordahl.blogspot.com) and check it out.

Looks nifty! 8-)

One tiny comment and a problem, though: when I wanted to comment this, first, the heading of the post didn't lead to the post's page with the other (potential) comments, and second, visual verification doesn't show the captcha without a cookie, so I needed to use a special setup to post this. You shouldn't need the cookie...

Good updates Tom.

@Jacek The link for the post title points back to my main blog page in this instance because that's what the post is about. I probably shouldn't have done that. Blogger doesn't link the post title to the post URL for some reason. You provide the title link (if any) when you create the post and I usually point it at what I am talking about.

I don't have any control over the Captcha operation, as this is something provided by Blogger. Without a cookie of some sort, how would you ever do a captcha? You need at least a session token or hash of the captcha value. I suppose you could do it on the URL params, but this is the 21st century. :-)

Thanks for the comments!

@JaceK I figured out why my post titles never linked to the full post. Just another setting the blogger dashboard.

Fixed - for future posts only unfortunately. Thanks for pointing that out!
